J S J Engineering Laser Cutting Services
JSJ works with key subcontract suppliers to offer laser cutting of components as part of its supply chain management capability. This allows JSJ to meet very stringent dimensional tolerances as well as complex curvatures to achieve shapes such as circles, squares etc. Additionally, this process not only ensures the material’s edge is free from any burrs or marks after cutting, but it also guarantees a complete absence of distortion or warping of the metal. Very slight distortion can occur when punching complex shapes with exotic alloys.
Laser cutting is used for a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including mild or stainless steel, aluminium, or brass, and can also cut materials ranging from 0.5mm to 20mm in thickness.
Laser cutting can sometimes offer a very cost-effective solution as no job specific tooling is required and very little machine calibration or setup is necessary. Finally, material wastage is minimized as sheet layout can be optimized using CAD software. Laser cutting can facilitate both small one-off batches as well as larger high-volume quantities.
JSJ Precision also has several CNC punches and brake presses at its disposal.
