CNC folding is the bending of sheet metal using a brake press. When pressure is applied to the sheet metal in between a top and bottom set of tooling, the brake press operator can fold and manipulate the material in order to form a multitude of different degree bends, curves, or shapes.

The purpose of folding sheet metal is to create a three-dimensional object or structure from a flat sheet of material. This manufacturing process allows JSJ to produce a range of various degree bends, shapes, or forms, thus allowing us to manufacture complex components, shapes, and sizes.

Material integrity is critical to in use component performance. JSJ’s CNC brake presses are designed to create accurate and precise bends or curves in metal sheet, without over stretching, tearing, or damaging the base material.
